Lessons Learned

In this section, we seek out lessons about investing in or launching an adaptive learning venture. Existing ventures such as ALEKS, Knewton Alta, and N2Y Unique Learning System provide us with a range of approaches, experiences and insights we can learn from. We can better succeed in our efforts by considering strategies, technologies, content, and exits of those that have come before.

The value of a particular lesson depends on context. To help contextualize the lessons learned, we’ll use our personas. If you want a refresher on the details for our personas, you can use these links to access the summary for each persona: SusanJeremiah, & Anthony.

To start the exploration, a brief overview of each venture is provided below. At the bottom of this page, and those that follow, you'll find links that guide you through this exploration. The path ahead includes:

  • Venture Overviews

  • ALEKS Details

  • Knewton Alta Details

  • N2Y Unique Learning System Details
