Dreambox

DreamBox designs and develops computer-based math curriculum programs for elementary and middle school children. They're headquartered in Bellevue, Washington where CEO and Chairman Jessie Woolley-Wilson was awarded the GookWire 2019 Award for Big Tech CEO of the Year. This honour comes just after a huge year for DreamBox in which they’ve grown to a reach of over 3 million students and 130,000 educators across Canada, the US, and Mexico. Fueled by a $130M investment from The Rise Fund (the world’s biggest social impact investment fund), DreamBox is one of the best-funded startups in the the educational world.

Prodigy

Prodigy, a company that started as an undergraduate project for its founders, was crowned in 2018 as Canada’s fastest growing software company. They relied greatly on user feedback with the aim of building a platform that is both engaging and educational. It was this feedback that allowed the team to build several of the core in-game features and come up with the company's novel freemium business model. Alex Peters and Rohan Mahimker, the company’s co-founders, believe that education should be a basic human right and have used that mantra to achieve a five-year growth rate of 9,230. They ultimately hope to provide equal access to students around the world and with a user base already of more than 40 million students across Canada and the United States, this vision is within reach.

Manga High

Since launching in 2010, Manga High - an e-learning platform that offers game-based math for students - had grown to generate $497.8K, and, as of January 2016, Mangahigh has 5.8K fans on Facebook, 13.9K followers on Twitter, and had an estimated revenue of <$1M. They’ve honed in on what the market has demanded and offered an invigorating way of looking at educating children in mathematics. They boast over 600 country sensitive math activities for ages 5-16 and their programs are used by more than 5,000 schools. Under the guidance of CEO and co-founder Mohit Midha, they’ve come to be regarded as one of the very best tech tools for the modern teacher.

Shiksha

Open Shiksha, a non-profit educational platform that is designed to improve concept retention and learning outcomes for students, is available in both English and Hindi. They use educational games, interactive widgets and traditional input options to make math and science practice as engaging as possible for the student while simultaneously providing teachers and administrators with curated information with which to make data-driven decisions. Their Partnership Model supplies schools and educational non-profits with administrator accounts which can then be used to create virtual classrooms. Shiksha is a private company. with an estimated annual revenue generation of $2M. They have about 250 employees.

Reasoning Mind

Reasoning Mind designs and develops computer-based math curriculum programs for elementary and middle school children. Their headquarters are located in Houston, Texas. Gregg Fleisher is the President & CEO.  Reasoning Mind's top competitor is DreamBox Learning.

Mathletics

Mathletics is an online platform that provides online math tutoring services for students. Headquartered in Syndney, New South Wales, Mathletics has a revenue of $27.1M and 220 employees. Expenses are down $1.2M (7%) vs prior year reflecting continued cost management as well as the benefits of their global operating model being realized. They carry no debt with cash on hand of $10.1M.

Sokikom

Sokikom is an educational technology provider that offers online social math games for students in grades K-5.

Sokikom is based in Mountain View, CA. Snehal Patel is the Founder & CEO of Sokikom, and their latest funding round was a grant for $1M in July 2014.  As of January 2018, Sokikom has 1.5K fans on Facebook and 1.7K followers on Twitter.
